Who we are
Life Academy is an educational charity that is concerned with life planning and adult education. It provides post graduate qualifications in life planning; runs a Foundation level programme for intermediaries such as HR and IFA staff who advise individuals but want to put their specific work into a holistic life planning context; as well as short pre-retirement courses and life planning sessions.
Research by Life Academy revealed a worrying lack of understanding of money matters. Issues such as debt, long term savings, and pensions are of great topical interest. Finance is an essential part of life planning that mishandled can blight the lives of individuals and their families. This is also a serious issue for employers because employees who are financially stressed are less satisfied and less productive employees.
Life Academy decided to help to raise the understanding of money matters through a project entitled 'Learn About Money'. This has resulted in the production of this financial education programme. It is independent of any commercial interest and promotes no financial products.
